Although he doesn’t fit in with most of the other artists I am
fond of, I find Albin Egger-lienz’s work to be quite appealing.
The quality to
his paintings show a mixture of both a, simplistic yet detailed nature, the use
of dull and abysmal colour in his work, based around war, reflect the emotions
he was trying to display, and add a certain allure to his collection.
I find this image to be the most appealing, his use off
composition of the subject allows the viewers’ attention to gravitate to the
subject of the piece, without distracting them with unnecessary clutter.
The subject’s brutish appearance and almost blank expression
also adds to the pieces’ allure.
